what i don't understand is how calling people "postwhores" is welcoming to everyone and makes tpf "better?"

Agreed....especially when many threads are "hungry" for attention go without replies. Isn't that what a internet forum is all about...people posting? I see nothing wrong with a little friendly banter...unlike some of the trashing that happens in Open Talk.

I don't see the posting here like the silly drivel on FB of people stating their moods and what they're about to do. Making cookies and heading to the mall ...whoopie!

My apologies, Conor. It wasn't meant to be offensive. That's a common term used on forums.

The other thing that I wanted to add, was that most everything about photography, and all the aspects of it has been discussed at least once here. If people only posted 'meaningful' information and DIDNT engage in friendly conversation, chit chat, banter, etc... it probably wouldn't be a very active forum at all.
