My thought was
"Holy crap, a Camera is in harms way?" :/

I noticed the camera first, but then wondered what kind of idiot is photographing at a sporting event and isn't using a lens hood? Or an underwater housing?

What's the minimum focusing distance for that lens? Looks to be about 10cm (6") away. "hey coach, gimme some chin".
