55 hours 2450 miles about 16 hours on a FROZEN beach in Fl and one pic lol

The shuttle ended up launching this morning we were home by then
The pad from Parrish Park approx 11 miles shot with D700 and 600MM

there really isn't a way of getting too close for pics. I went on the tour there at Cape Canaveral several yrs ago, but missed a launch. They told us they it was a long ways off the closest point you can get to when a launch is about to commence. Cool pic.
