I was there on Fri. Pretty interesting - they have a nice explanation of historic photographic processes. And Frank Lopez, a photographer using ambrotypes, was there showing his work. Glad I could see some photography without having to drive to the Amon Carter!

The Golden Age of British Photography 1839-1900. If you can find it, an excellent book on photography from the Golden Age. Wayne, a must have addition to your library.

In my not so humble opinion, The DMA sucks when it comes to photography.

The drive to Ft. Worth is well worth the time.

Paco, anytime you want to see great photography in Dallas go here.

Seeing the prints in person is worth the trip to the Quadrangle.

I went to the exhibition last Sat. and would go again. It was SO interesting and the artwork was gorgeous! There's nothing like seeing things up close and personal that you've only seen as posters, or calendars, or in magazines. *sigh*

Do they still have, I think its called "The Iceberg" on display.

That one is the one that struck me. I have seen it in magazines, apx.2"x2".

I had no clue of it's actual size. Incredible.

Oh darn, I have no idea! We only went to the Lens of Impressionism exhibition then strolled through an area where they have kid's activities, but didn't have time to walk the whole museum. I'm probably going to go back fairly soon, I'll have to look for it!

I haven't been to the DMA in quite a while. I think it's time for another trip.

Kevin, You are totally correct. One of these days Lisa & I will spend several days soaking up some DFW culture.
