Planet Earth was amazing, and this one may be even more so. Sadly Discovery thinks US viewers can't understand an English narrator, so we get Oprah and will likely lose the same 5-10 minutes per episode that we did on the US Planet Earth.

I love the Planet Earth series and this looks just as awesome, maybe even awesomer!

To bad about Oprah, if they have to Americanize it they should have used someone like Samuel L Jackson.

Samuel L. Jackson narrating a documentary would be awesome.

I've been wanting to buy Planet Earth on blu-ray, but can bring myself to spend the $80 I could be spending on more camera equipment.

You can find it for less than $80:
Amazon.com: Planet Earth: The Complete BBC Series [Blu-ray]: David Attenborough: Movies & TV

I've seen the Discovery version on Bluray for as little as $35 on sale.

It's so worth having on bluray!

I would pick Mike Rowe to narrate. Either way, I am looking forward to seeing this!!

Amazon has it for $40 or less at times. I think I paid $50.

Mike Rowe would rule.

I'm getting a bit Mike Rowe'd out... although I'll watch 24 hours of Dirty Jobs pretty much any day of the week.

I'd prefer David Attenbourough over anyone though. The narrative was much better on the BBC version of Planet Earth and I imagine it'll be the same for Life.

I'm super pumped though

What's wrong with Oprah? She gas a good speaking voice. My only problem is that they would choose ANY american over the original narrator.

Nature documentaries are SUPPOSED to be narrated by someone with a British accent. That's just how it should be.

Patrick Stewart should narrate, I love his voice.

Samuel L. Jackson would be EPIC!
"THAT WHALE LOOKIN' THANG IS GONNA GET ATE! LOOK OUT MOTHAF-! NO I CAIN'T STOP YELLIN! YOU AIN'T NEVER SEEN MY MOVIES?! SAY WHAT AGAIN! SAY, WHAT, AGAIN!"

Of course, you can never go wrong with Morgan Freeman.
I could have done without Sigourney Weaver (sp?) on Planet Earth.

Keith David narrated Ken Burn's Jazz and did an amazing job -- I would love to see any documentary where he is narrating.
