Turkey would be good, it has that tryptophan in it which is good for your brain and body..and water should be the best thing to drink in a long race or ride like that..I know on a good day for me tamales are sompin I wanna be home the next day for lol...any mexican type food actually ;)
Definitely, water is a good thing ... but when it's hot or you're on a long ride, you'd need electrolytes/mineral replacement. So I rock at least two bottles on my bike, one for water and the other for a "sports drink." At HHH, where thousands of people are riding, they mix Gatorade in trash cans and you never know what flavor you're going to get. Next time (maybe even this August), I'm going to pack a bunch of powdered drink mix in ONE flavor and get water at the stops to mix it myself. Wonder what flavor would go best with a turkey sandwich?

I was a little dehydrated my first time out ... apparently pickle juice is good for helping your body absorb the liquids you drink. There's Pickle Juice Sport, which has the right stuff but a better flavor. Either way, I can't think of any reason to soil myself or my bike on a ride!

I've seen countless people pee while riding in 1/2 Ironman and longer events. I've never seen the other occur outside of loss of control or illness. Personally, I'll stop to take care of biological needs. But I'm lazy and hate to clean up the bike... :yuk:

Last week, Sixty Minutes had a long segment about a Spanish bull fighter. In one of the scenes, shot from the back as he was strutting off, it was clearly apparent that he had crapped his pretty white pants.

It happens in car racing all the time. But from what I understand the drivers don't have to clean it up.
Can you go 500 miles without a bathroom break? I can't, even if it only takes 3 hours.

No kidding now, I keep thinking I smell something.

I raced bicycles for 30+ years, and I've never know anyone that pooped on purpose while riding, no matter how serious the event. However, back in the 1980's I tried that running thing and did a few marathons. Now running tends to settle anything in your intestines down to the exit area, and I had to run for the bushes a few times.
