Question Recommended Posh Dallas Hotels? - 03-22-2010, 08:15 PM

My reg hotel is all booked up before I got to it. Any one have any recommendations? Ive heard mixed stuff on Zaza, Turtle Creek, and several others. Holly likes posh - with doors that lock. What should I look at?

In Fort Worth I recommend the Ashton.

Fort Worth Hotel | The Ashton Hotel, Fort Worth, TX

Exclusive enough for Bill Gates and Warren Buffet to meet there recently.

Zaza is cool, if they will let you shoot there. They go back and forth with that one. Also, check out Joule (I think that's how you spell it). Oh, and the presidential suite at the Stoneleigh!

Ditto... but I'm staying in at least a Hampton Inn. Unless it's nearly midnight and 30 degrees outside and I forgot to pack my warm leathers and I had just ridden a motorcycle over 1,000 miles that day... but that's a long story from another time or unless I'm at Big Bend or some other awesome NP

Never say never but I do avoid it at all (or at least most) cost.

The worst place I've ever stayed was at a Ramada near the airport in Oklahoma City. I literally put towels on the floor and bed so I didn't have to touch anything It was 3am and winter otherwise I probably would have slept in the truck. It was like a motel version of the show Hoarders

And now back to our regularly scheduled posting

Lol, yes, I would never say NEVER. I've lived in the slums in Haiti with rebels, so that was probably as bad as you could get! Makes a bad hotel in the US look like a palace!
