Just got back from watching Clash of the Titans 3D. Decent movie but not even close to the original story line. It was a good action flick, great CGI, but I just watched the original on DVD last week and was a little disappointed. For the newer generation, they'll prolly like it. | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

My son (almost 20) and his best friend said it was laughably bad.... told him that meant it was a good successor to the original.

How dare you support Hollywood's pitiful regurgitations and bastardizations of classics. You're basically telling "them" that you approve of their dried up creativity pool and will accept mediocrity.

It's one thing that you express your displeasure with the state of Hollywood remakes, but don't lecture us. It's obvious you are a movie elitist and your taste in cinematic entertainment far exceeds this thread. If you don't like the discussion then go away! But either way do it respectfully. And learn how to spell!!

If the trailers suck then the movie might suck? Those were some of the worst trailers! I am still gonna see it.

"Clash Of The Titans" is a big, bad movie that features some of the worst dialogue this side of, "Sheena." Sam Worthington plays the Demi-God Perseus, the son of Zeus, with an Australian accent and a burr haircut that makes him look like an Iowa State wrestler.
It's Gods versus the humans and the humans are in trouble.
Yes, the giant scorpions are cool and Medusa with a snake's body is fun to watch; but this remake is about as compelling as cement.
Even the 3-D is a fraud. The film was originally shot in 2-D then sloppily re-configured. Many of the images are blurred, making you want to take OFF your 3-D glasses.
"Clash Of The Titans" is rated PG-13 for violence and doesn't come close to the utterly average 1981 original. It's a failed movie going experience. Even Ralph Fiennes looks comical as Hades and the bad beard on Liam Neeson is hilarious.
I've seen the Kraken, and the Kraken is not all it's "cracked-up" to be.

Rotten Tomatoes: Clash of the Titans Movie Reviews, Pictures gave it a 31 which is pretty low on their scale.
Maybe when it makes it to the $ theatre it may be worth seeing.
One of the reviewers said the 3-D was like downing a 12 pack of cold beer in two hours and then trying to walk home. Another said that it was shot in 2-D then converted afterwards to 3-D and they dropped the ball bad. Another said "Forget the kraken, how 'bout releasing a plot? "
I've found that their "tomatometer" to be pretty good, if it is rated over 70 the movie will be ok and if it is in the 90's it usually is worth seeing, a thirty says "stay away".
Also I've noticed in the last few years if the TV is blitzed with ads the week or so before the movies release it will most likely suck or if there are zero ads and no advance reviews it probably will not be the best either.
BTW the Hanna Montana coming of age tripe is rated at a 12! Maybe they were shooting for the age of their main audience?

Dull, tedious, poorly paced, anti-climactic and, worst of all, one of the most boring and underwhelming blockbusters in recent memory.

Despite its many laughable moments, the box-office gods may not be amused.
