House Season Finale Filmed Entirely with Canon 5D Mark II

I have never watched this show -- but kinda cool that it is being shot with a DSLR.

The very few times I have tried to shoot any video, I have had hell with the focus. Glad to see there are people out there making it work for them

Just saw a commercial for the season finale, it airs tomorrow night. I might just have to check it out.

It's a great show. If you haven't seen it there'll probably be a lot you don't get but it's still worth watching. And Hugh Laurie affects a fabulous American accent - you'd never guess he's a Brit from listening to his character.

I can't wait to see what the season finale has done using this camera. Loved the short film.

I explained to my wife that they used a DSLR for the show, she didn't seem impressed...I was. It made the show a little more grittier (IMHO) and I bet it was great for getting those shots in the rubble under the fallen building.

As far as the ending goes, it seems like I have been waiting for that moment for soooo long. "YES!"

So does anyone know the reason(s) why they used a DSLR? How is the 5D Mk2 on video? What I mean is, does it take longer clips than my 7D (4 GB at a time)? What are the differences between the two's video capabilities?

For an excellent comparison of different DSLR capabilities , check out this thread and related links http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...ut-zacuto.html

While I've never understood the appeal of the show, I do think it's cool that the episode was shot with the 5DMkII. Might have to check out a clip.

Did the last scene really happen? Or did House imagine it? Hmmmmmm?

It was rather interesting how they tailored the show to the camera to an extent, they usually don't go to accident scenes and they usually don't shoot tight places so they built the sets to take advantage of the ability to get this camera into tight places to shoot.

Wonder how all of the scene lights felt in those tight sets?

Heck if you haven't figured out that House is on his own little LOST planet then get on the bandwagon.
