So frustrating - and sad - 04-14-2010, 08:49 AM

I am going to this weekend to the Hill Country in search of bluebonnet/wildflower fields to shoot. I've never made the trip before specifically for this reason and I'm so excited. In the meantime, I've been reading some sighting reports weekly to see where my best bang for the buck will be.

Today, I read this - "Bluebonnets along the "fence drowning in bluebonnets" have also been destroyed by people sitting on them in multiple spots outside and inside fence. However there was still enough to get a decent shot."

Why can't people just look, enjoy, record and leave them alone????? I know this has been discussed many times here, but it's still frustrating.

So rude.
I always take a mower and weed-eater with me after I shoot in the Bluebonnets, it looks like a golf course when I leave!

It's an "I got mine, now you get get yours" society. A bit of a change from the '60's.

Same reason people toss trash out their car windows....they just don't care.

It is the same people who park in handicap, talk on the phone in line, don't say thank you when you hold the door, don't alternate merge, block intersections at red lights and litter!

It's all about me first!

A few years ago while driving out of town guests around I was proudly pointing out all the beautiful wildflowers along our Texas roadsides when one of my guests replies "yeah you know what we call them back home? .............weeds".
