even polar bears know! buy quality once and you don't have to buy again! The polar bear went straight away for the expensive one

Actually, as quality tripods go, Gitzo is cheap.

And if you really wanna drop some bucks, check out their fluid heads.

Sachtler fluid heads

OTOH, they are the very best.
