Ha, I guess this is what camera makers were hoping by adding the video feature, they are gaining some market presence and sales with this.

DSLR with video is still cheaper than a vid camera and the lens is far better on the DSLR... its pretty logical progression oddly enough.

I predict that the quality coupled with the relatively low price of a video equipped DSLR will lead to a lot more shots that intentionally put the camera in harms way for the sake of a unique shot.

Another unique video shot with the canon 5d II is the one called "the last 3 minutes"
