Question Orlando? - 04-22-2010, 09:29 AM

We're flying into Orlando tomorrow but our cruise doesn't leave until Saturday afternoon... anyone have any suggestions on what to do Friday night... dinner / dancing / jazz / whatever.

Thanks!

you can visit Disney's "Pleasure Island". For a nominal gate fee of like 20 bucks you get access to like 7 bars/clubs with different themes, an open air stage, and various other things that go on inside the gate. All alcohol is served in plastic containers and can be consumed anywhere inside the gates. It's part of the "Downtown Disney" experience. Right in the same area is a Planet Hollywood.

There's also Universal's "City Walk". They have the same type of thing. A bunch of clubs/bars and restraunts. There's a Jimmy Buffet Margarhitaville, Emiril has a place down there, and a few other places to eat and drink etc. Across the way they have a Hard Rock if you're into that type of thing.

"Historic Church Street" has also really grown again from my understanding. It's gone through various phases of popular and run down over the years, but last I heard it was popular again.

Charrie,

Julie and I are going to St. Martin, St. Thomas, and the Bahamas... on the new Carnival Dream. :)

Go to Cape Canaveral. Atlantis is on the pad (39A) and I believe you can get a tour out there from the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Center. It's the last flight for Atlantis and I promise, an impressive sight!

Have a great time Wil!
