OK, so I make me a large alcoholic beverage, grab my new blu-ray, Avatar and get ready to watch it. I place the blu-ray into the blu-ray player, sit back and WHAMO!!!! a bright orange screen appears saying I can't watch this movie until I update my firmware. OK, that's no biggie, I've had to update it before. I go to the manufacturer's website, find the downloads, find the latest firmware, 75mb, no worries, I can d/l at 15mb/s. Anyway, I put the download onto a usb and then plug the usb into the blu-ray player and I wait.... drink my drink... wait some more.... drink some more.... still waiting... still drinking.... OH, finally it asks if I would like to update my firmware, I click yes. It tells me to wait, so I wait, and drink..... and I wait/drink...... still drinking/waiting..... getting kind of sloshed now but still waiting and drinking.... OK, blu-ray player turns off, I turn it back on and now we are ready to go. Sorry about the rant. I was kind of bored while I was sitting here drnking... |
