omG!! i'm about to turn my neighbor in to the hoa... 2 stray cats, i know they are not vaccinated, their crap in my flower beds, live in my bushes in the front of my house, and get in my garage all the freaking time. she keeps food out on her driveway for them, which attracts birds, and other critters... i'm sick and tired of IT!

I feel your pain, I'm a bird nut and they stalk my babies all the time. Here in Dallas the law is that they be on a leash when outdoors and fenced in.

Strays make for good target practice.

Shoot at the wrong cat and you might find some lead in an uncomfortable place. I'm just sayin'.

Cat or dog is in my yard and it's fair game. Keep it home with you where it belongs.

Nowhere did you or the op say on your property. And BTW discharging a firearm within the Dallas city limits is against the law. But do as you think right...

FYI, laws get broken. Plus firearms are not the only form of "pest control"

I no longer live in that evil place. I moved about 9 years ago. I now live in the county.

If you value your animal, keep it safe at home with you and don't inflict that varmint on others. They may not share your love for the pest.

FYI, I keep my Bengals inside, but that doesn't prevent me from pointing out dangerous, illegal, and barbaric activities...

Then they are safe.

It is more cruel to let a domestic animal roam free and unsupervised where they can get into fights and are subjected to worse harm.

I've had quite a few dogs and cats over my lifetime and except for an occasional "escape" they were kept at home either in a fenced yard or in the house.

Strays are pests to be expunged from the neighborhood in some way. Preferably trapped and taken to the pound where the stupid owners, who let them roam free, could retrieve them for a fee.

to further add fuel to my fire... she called me one evening back in january during the freeze we had..and said...hey janet, did you put that box on my porch for sassy? (her cat) - and i was like NO, why would i do that? evidently one of the other neighbors felt sorry for the cat being out in the open during the freezing weather, got a cardboard box, wrapped it in tape so it would be waterproof, put a blanket inside and put her name on it and put it on the lady's front porch.

i thought it was pretty funny, but then got pissed cause she thought i did it. then she claimed it wasn't her cat - it was her daughters (who lives in TN by the way in college) - and i was like....uh...you and your husband brought the cat to your house when you moved in a year ago..it's YOUR cat.. ugh!!

I don't have anything against cats (my wife has two of them), but they should be kept inside. Outdoor cats make no sense at all.

I see a couple of fat cats around my house every now and then, even dogs, nice little ones too, like the little dog that one weird what-her-name carried in her purse in the tv show.

I do not understand some people with pets. If you can't care for them, don't get a damn pet.

I've always wanted a German shepherd, but until I can take care of myself, my significant other won't let me have one :)
