Huge NASA Science Balloon Crashes in Australian Outback - Yahoo! News
The Balloon section of NASA is based in East Texas and the Balloons themselves are made here in Texas. If your ever around Palestine you can take a tour of the facility and see what they do. They plan to do a launch from there I think either summer of 2011 or 2012 of one of these huge balloons which is very rare since the airspace for the first 45,000 ft has a lot of traffic-they launch more from elsewhere on the planet and a lot out in Eastern New Mexico.
These balloons when fully inflated are a bit Bigger than the new Cowboys Stadium!
