Microsoft Internet Explorer Losing Browser Share - 05-04-2010, 11:53 AM

You can read the BBC article here.

One question: In the table, it shows Firefox with 24.5 % of the browser share, while Mozilla has 0.16 % of the share. What's the difference? Does Mozilla have another browser that I don't know about?

I'd be willing to bet a lot of the 'mozilla' ones are actually mobile browsers or safari browsers which have a built-in tool to present themselves as 'mozilla' instead of what they actually are to get the full content of a website.

I expect Google Chrome to gain more and more as it gets better. After much bouncing between IE8, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, I've settled on Chrome as I find it the fastest on most of the sites I frequent.

Only time I ever use something other then FF is when I need to test a website I am working on to make sure it displays correct in IE and Chrome.

I really like Chrome, but I have a few crucial websites that do not work properly in it, but they work just fine in IE & FF. Until Chrome gets that all sorted out I can't switch.
