Teacher beating student - 05-12-2010, 02:26 PM

Has this been posted? If so, I can't find it.

Can you imagine what is going through his mind, as the teacher is throwing the desk out of the way to get to him?

If it was my child, or grandchild, my wife would be living alone for the rest of her life.

There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of behavior BUT, I would like to know the 'FULL STORY'...

Yeah, 'cause a 13 year old cowering in the corner was obviously a threat and deserved the beatdown.

There is no excuse for it....

Spankings and beatings are two different things. This looks to me like an out and out beating and there is no excuse for it. A spanking is much milder and is for disciplinary purposes. This teacher has gone way over the top and should never be allowed around children again.

Teacher was fired and will likely be prosecuted but if I was the parent I would want the teachers that watched this incident fired as well.

No excuse for this even if the kid was acting inappropriately.

Kid probably had it coming. Yes, I am kidding.

As for a 13 year old not being a threat, you obviously haven't been around public schools lately OR watched the news.

Did I say that? NO... I said there is absolutely no excuse for it.

I also said I wanted to hear the full story. Reasoning behind why it happened.

Partial story is that they were laughing at a mentally challenged person dancing or something along those lines, that is why I said I wanted more info. Curiosity..

Regardless of the "full story" the teacher had no right whatsoever to do what she did..

Maybe they should throw her in the same jail cell as Big Bertha.........

I have 2 daughters in HS, so I know how big those boys are. I've just never been attacked by one in a fetal position.

I know your comment wasn't intended as I read it - as if there may have been justification for the teacher's action. I'm sure there was some back story that caused her to finally snap. Like you, I feel it's still not justified though.

Doesn't matter if the kid was the biggest jerk in the class room - doesn't matter if he cussed the teacher out so badly that her great, great, great grandparents were rolling over in their graves.

There is a huge number of people who seem to believe that YOU (general public 'you') control 'my' actions.

There are people with medical conditions who don't have the ability to control their response/reactions - but outside of that group of individuals - there's not a single one of us that doesn't have the ability to control what we do/how we respond/what we think/what we say... none of us.

Regardless of that students behavior - the teacher is at fault for what the teacher did.

She decided to physically assault the kid - and outside of a gun being held out of view that put her in a life or death situation - she made a CHOICE to do what she did.

I really struggle with this reality at times... but my life is a hell of a lot easier when I recognize that no one can 'make' me do something, or 'make' me feel something, or 'make' me think something... generally speaking.

Since you are all MISSING the main point. I WANT THE WHOLE STORY!!!

I just wanted to know what REALLY happened. You people are reading way too much into what people write. Geesh...

I NEVER SAID THERE WAS A RIGHT FOR HER TO DO THIS. NEVER SAID SHE WAS JUSTIFIED IN HER ACTIONS, JUST WANT THE DAMN STORY....

Rant off...

Have a good evening.

That is when they are the most dangerous. Haven't you seen a snake strike from the coiled position? (that's what I tell people when it happens to me... I also tell them the crying is to lull them into a sense of victory before my amazing fists do some pounding)

Yes, she's definitely wrong and is certainly responsible for her actions. And as a adult/teacher, there is no excuse. However, there is probably more to the story than a teacher just beating up on a 'child' for no reason - and I would like to know the other side as well.

It's interesting that there are other teachers in the room that aren't the least bit concerned, the students are laughing, and the victim is actually laughing when she first drags him our from the corner.

We always hear and see the part of the victim, yet in many cases the aggressor has been a victim for too long, and simply snaps, becoming the aggressor.

Again, there's no question of right and wrong here, but I'd venture to say that there's a lot more to this story that made this person snap.

I wanted to side with the teacher at first, cautiously grabbing him from the corner I was thinking "oh god, what's the full story here, they called this beating", and then, um she did beat the kid. like striking with her hand and kicking. Police can't even do that to out of control criminals!!!

Whatever the 'story' is doesn't matter now. What scares me is knowing that had this not been on another kids cell phone video what would've happened? I don't think anyone would believe that story and would think the kids were escalating it or making it up.

Just another reason to allow cell phones in school!
