Sabotage : Has it happened to you?

Long story short, dallasdoglife.com did a 'feature' review on The Modern Mutt, and it made someone quite jealous I suppose. They sent an obsurd email to the ddl.com owner stating that The Modern Mutt was an illegal business, who wasn't on file with the state, and didn't have a tax certificate. In not so many words they berated me, and shamed the website for featuring me. They also claimed to have 'reported' me to the proper authorities for 'tax evasion.'

The actual truth is that I DO have a DBA, and I DO have a sales certificate number with the state, but its filed under my original name of Images By Christopher Coy. I personally called the Comptrollers office and spoke to an agent, and found out that I am in fact completely legal, and I DO NOT have to have multiple tax numbers.

I'm pissed because they went to the extent of setting up an anonymous email address to send this email, but I'm completely and totally flattered that someone out there is jealous of little ole' me.

So to the person who may have sent the email, and 'reported' me, you've just made me the happiest young entrepreneur alive. You have a GRRRREAT day!

It's a dog eat dog world (sorry couldn't resist) out there. I can't understand why, except that you are doing such a good job, that someone would do this. To them I say, Get a Life.

As they say... 'jealousy is the highest form of flattery'. Its taken a lot of focus, effort, and determination to get to this very small milestone with the new studio and all - its going to take way more than that to knock me down.

Well it doesn't look like that Saboteur put the info in public. I'm guessing they emailed DDL about it and they contacted you?

I bet you could narrow down your list of suspects by starting with the other photographers listed on their web site under "photography/art".
