For those here who have come to know Frank, he went to the dentist who detected an elevated BP which was quickly diagnosed as the need for a triple bypass. It went well today. Here's some of the info from FB:

Elena Hernandez Frank Cricchio is a veteran educator whose given back to the photography industry that he loves with his unique approach to the craft. I love how he poses hands...which literally is an art itself.

I don't know Frank, but I'm glad that his dentist caught the problem, and Frank is OK.

Glad he is doing well. My thoughts and prayers go up for him and his recovery.

Frank is a giant in our industry, art, and craft. A lot of the young people today do not know of him or his influence. But you reep the benefits from the path he has trod. As a photographer, teacher, lecturer, author, his leadership with the PPA, TPPA, and his baby Texas School; life as a photographer is easier because of the sphere of his influence. Get to know Frank and what he can teach you. Your work and your life will improve.

Not uncommon for a dentist to refuse to do any procedure if the blood pressure is too high... the fact that it was high and wouldn't come down probably set off warning bells.

I'm glad he's doing better.

He was taken off the breathing tube today. They were going to get him up and moving around...not out of ICU just yet. The Chocolate Lady was going to send healthy dark chocolates when safe to do so....

The latest has been that he was still in ICU but no longer had a breathing tube and would be getting up a little. I'll try and get a fresher update...

Today's update: Frank is still in ICU, still able to breath on his own. He's been given 2 pints of blood. Had things gone as predicted, he would have been out of ICU yesterday, so the recovery is slower than expected.
