We watched the last little bit of the competition, right when they announced the final five. Let me say that the winner was the most trashy of the five, so it's no surprise that Trump chose her.

At least she wasn't blonde... that's one plus. I was sure that a blonde was going to win. It was four blondes, one brunette and zero red heads in the final five.

*laughing*

I'm thinking that given Trump's attempts to reinvigorate the Miss USA brand, if there is a non-merit-based reason Michigan won, it is because Donald "no publicity is bad publicity" Trump and his successors know "who cares about pageants" and figured out exactly how to push their buttons and get them talking.

This brings up an interesting question that popped into my mind. I do a lot of TFP stuff and whether or not we make an official model release (i admit I've been lazy about it lately) or have a "gentlemen's" agreement that we'll both just use it in our portfolios, what would happen if one of my models hit it big and became Miss USA and I have a questionable picture and decide to be a jerk and release it. Could i release it? Could I sell it to TMZ? (not saying I plan on being a jerk but want to keep the option open lol) How did the guy who sold Kerry Prejean's (last year's Miss USA 1st place loser) do it?

to be honest...I like Oklahoma better. She's a much prettier girl, and I do think she got a loaded question with the judge she picked.

I liked OK as well. The fact that she used the term 'states rights' impressed the hell out of me. ;-)

If you don't have a release, it can cost you far more than you believe, if you use an image for commercial purposes without it. Any image for which you have no release, you should consider does not exist, other than for the client. A gentleman's agreement lasts until you piss off someone. Contact an IP lawyer.

I'm not a lawyer, and this isn't to be considered legal advice.
