Exclamation Lost Lens - 05-18-2010, 11:00 AM

It was suggested to me to post here about my lens. I went to Texas School here in Dallas almost 2 weeks ago and lost my lens on the last day (Friday). Someone said a woman came in the coffee shop at the hotel with it asking if it belonged to anyone. They said she had a red Texas School shirt on. I don't know where it went from there. She did not turn it in to the hotel or Don Dickson or Arlington Camera. If anyone has any information please let me know. I am hoping since she was looking for the owner originally that she is still.

Kristi....if it has been two weeks...it is probably gone...but I would place an add on craigslist in several places to see if she is looking there...also did you put-up lost lens posters...(I know sounds rediculous...but it might work...I would do it at the coffee shop and the other places you mentioned...) remeber most people will not go out of there way to find you...so you have to make the extra effort....

Good Luck...and you might want to check your renters/home inusrance might cover it....

Yes, an ad on craigslist might work. And as a photog, I would not try to keep your lens. I would do what I could to find the rightful owner. Don't give up hope. Many of us would do the right thing and try to find you. Was it an expensive lens? Don't give too many details, incase someone tries to claim the lost lens as their own... just wondering approx price so i know whether to say "sorry" or "son of a..."

Kristi, I received an email from you..not sure if that was from Don or not. Have you contacted him to see if he would email everyone? Just a thought.
