Cool Unwinding... - 05-19-2010, 08:37 PM

So, what do you do to unwind? I usually read ficton. Im so jittery right now that I cant. When that happens, I watch Phineas and Ferb and wonder if Im more like Vanessa or her dad?

I used to do sudoku puzzles. Now staring at numbers makes my brain do P&L statements. So, thats not good. Im a total workaholic unless I have a stop/ end of day/ stop thinking thing to do in place.

I got the new Sookie book and for the life of me, I cant remember what happened in the last one. Im drawing a total blank. And True Blood isnt back on for 2 weeks still.

What are some other nice brain-numbing things to unwind?

Alchemy (the game), Atomica. These are mind numbing and can be done over and over.

Hello? Wine consumption is a major brain numbing event!

LOL, by the time I get done at the studio, it is time to go home and deal with my terrible two (one really is two, and the other almost 18). By the time they are done tormenting me... I am ready to go back to the studio! But seriously, I too have to find something to get "lost" in. I generally have a lot on the DVR, so I tend to get an hour or so of mindless entertainment in so I can remain sane!

Crochet: HA HA HA! What are you? 80? jk. its got big needles and requires counting. See sukudo note.

Alchemy: I'll have to look that up.

Wine: Id like to curtail a wine addiction. It also packs on pounds. Not so good on the hips. ;o)

DVR: True Blood hasnt started yet! And I already mentioned P+F. (I love Dr. Doofenschmetaz - if I ever become a super villain, that's my role model. Hes totally in it for the fun and not the money). You can see our uncanny mental similarities in his hot coca plan...he's gonna give away the 1st cup for free to get ya hooked, and then the 2nd cup is 1 Million dollars - that way he only has to sell one! LOL! Thats so me!!!

I think I should set up my pool and float a lot. floating is fun.

I play my trumpet. Takes a lot of concentration and takes you away from your problems, or at least presents a whole new set of problems.

I always thought that looked awful! I also assumed they closed the lid and left you to die. floating in a pool with a ring or a bathtub with a ducky is way more my speed. no lid. ;o)

anyone want to buy a cup of hot cocoa? the 1st one is free.

LOL. At least you had money in your wallet! And found it fast.

When my kids were that age and younger, when ever they were really quiet it was b/c they were coloring something they shouldnt - them.

When my daughter was around 14 months, she grabbed a box of markers and was sitting on the floor and colored in every inch of her whole body - belly button and b/t the toes included. It was awesome. My son colored his arms - one blue and one green from fingertip to armpit. We were driving cross country. You ever go into a Cracker Barrel with a kid with green and blue arms? They look at you kinda funny.
