BBC News - Five masterpieces stolen from Paris modern art museum
If it ever came on the market Interpol would get the local authorities to seize it and return it so the stuff just ends up in some A$$holes collection on his wall for him to look at.

The article I read said that its not uncommon to use art pieces like these for drug transactions... a rolled up painting is an easy way to carry a bundle of cash.
