Exclamation Poor Man's seamless-sold out-new price now $88 so no more bargain - 05-21-2010, 04:15 PM

Amazon.com: HP Heavyweight Coated Paper (60-Inches x 100-Feet roll): Office Products
Don't know how much they have but 100ft of 60inch wide white for the price is CHEAP! This is a fairly heavy inkjet paper.
HP Heavyweight Coated Paper-1524 mm x 30.5 m (60 in x 100 ft) (C6977C) specifications - HP Small & Medium Business products
(similar paper for the weight specs.
They show around 25 in stock right now
(Update Sun-23-noon) They restocked the item but instead of $15 it is $88.

Hope all who grabbed a roll or two will be happy. I found out about it from a tweet.

I bought 2, and it was nice that for 2 the shipping was FREE! So 10 ft wide and 100 ft long for $30!,Yeah I will have to tape the seam on the back but for $30?
B+H has a white that is only 53 inches and just 12 yards and it is more than this! Yeah it is true seamless but
Paper (Savage)
you adjust for length and it would be over $60 per roll!

60" wide is useless to me. And it's only 5' wide. How do you get 10'? tape two together? 9' wide from Dallas Camera is ~$40 with no seam...

I now have a 140" wide roll of white. That's what I call a background!

Scott- notice I said POOR MAN'S SEAMLESS!

Yeah tape it together on the backside and if you do it right you can pretty much wipe out the seam and for some people not in town the free shipping option should make it a deal.

So go play with your 140" with 6 models in bikinis and have fun tonight.

It's hardly seamless, if you have a taped seam down the middle of your shot. However, this would work nice for tabletop stuff. Or, at the very least cut it down to run some big prints on your printer!

Jason if the seam is taped on the back side of the paper and done right you can pretty much hide it and then clean it up in PS really easily. Like I said it is a poor mans seamless.

With the width you can do children, some animals/pets, product, and some other shoots.

I bet they just had an error in data entry since what they charged barely would cover the free shipping costs-or old stock that they had to move.
(btw shows 3 still in stock out of 25 starting stock #)

Picked up one, and got free shipping too. Not too shabby for $15.00

5 footers work great for head shots -- and are easier to transport and set up on location when you know that you are only doing headshots. Beyond that, they are great for tabletop work.

And lets not forget the obvious that this would make a great roll for a wide format printer at an unheard of price

Mine was delivered yesterday - have not unboxed it yet. 4 days order to drop off for $15 is great.

My 2 rolls came in yesterday, also noticed that they were made in germany, boxes were in great shape but have not unrolled any of the paper yet.

5 ft is pretty wide.
