Craigslist may not be the best place to get a feel of the market. A quick eBay search of completed listings shows that used Nikon D200 bodies are going for $400-$600.

Craigslist isnt' a good place to get a feel for anything.... I'm amazed at the utter stupidity of some folks.

Well, it doesn't cost anything to put something on craigslist for whatever price you want, and there's zero risk for pricing stuff too high. If someone buys it at that price, who's the stupid one?

CL is what it is. Anyone buying from ads on there would be foolish not to have done their homework to have an idea of what a reasonable price would be. Personally I shop it all the time and have never paid over market for the things I have bought nor charged too much for things I've sold.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...............no! Not too, long ago, old stock new models were going for much less than that. OTOH, CL, like eBay, can be another world altogether, and I'm not surprised by what goes on there.

But wait if you buy it now then at no extra charge we will throw in a certificate that states that Ashton Kucther might have used that very camera in a Nikon commercial.
