I've done this sort of thing using 2 Canon cameras (an XTi and a 20D). Usually, though, I just use one camera and shift my weight from one leg to the other to change from the left to right shots.

Need 3D glasses.. I have a pair at home.. interested to see how it would look like.

Actually, it depends on the type of 3D image generated. I know of a dozen types of 3D printing technologies, and several of them are viewable in 3D without glasses, for people with normal vision. I don't have normal vision, so I use a Pokescope with my straight-ahead 3D photos. The cross-eyed version is popular for people who aren't using special glasses.
