This is a discussion on 3-D shoot with 2 dslr's within the Open Talk forums, part of the General Information category; 3D Portraits with Two Nikon D90 DSLRs...
I've done this sort of thing using 2 Canon cameras (an XTi and a 20D). Usually, though, I just use one camera and shift my weight from one leg to the other to change from the left to right shots.
Need 3D glasses.. I have a pair at home.. interested to see how it would look like.
Actually, it depends on the type of 3D image generated. I know of a dozen types of 3D printing technologies, and several of them are viewable in 3D without glasses, for people with normal vision. I don't have normal vision, so I use a Pokescope with my straight-ahead 3D photos. The cross-eyed version is popular for people who aren't using special glasses.

Old tech, now with dSLRs.
Technically, your link uses an iPhone app, applied to iPhone photos, which are not dSLRs. But, the Pokescope that I mentioned earlier comes with software that can be used with any photo on one's PC. Or, one could open each image in a different image viewer, and view them side-by-side.
