You know The Lucy Show and the Dick Van Dyke show and the others, they never made me want twin beds. I wonder how some of that works, effecting kids brains. In my mind I hear my dad saying "suck it up" as we would just do what we did and keep growing.

I'm sure there are "reasons" that some folks use to explain things, but I don't believe they are good excuses that make it OK.

I also heard he was selling the CA home and moving to Austin in hopes of a reconciliation.

You are correct, one never knows. I thought it was kind of silly to try and use that as an excuse instead of just maning up and saying I'm a dog, I cheated on my wife.

I think that for some people - the desire to be 'wanted, chased after, desired, etc' is defined as 'love'... they are taught at an early age screwed up definitions for words that some people learn the right way.

But you only get to blame your screwed up parenting until about age 20 or so... if I'm being nice... cause once you start making your choices... it's YOUR choices.

His screwed up life could easily have put him in a place to desire attention/etc that made him susceptible to behaving in this manner.... it's kind of like my coffee addiction making me susceptible to Starbucks.... but it's my choice to drive by, go in, get it, pay for it, and grin happily while I'm enjoying it... just like it was his choice to do what he did.

A wise man told me once - you do not gamble with what you are not willing to lose.... Mr. James is finding out what happens when that occurs.

Even more pathetic than James' excuses are the statements made by his mistress, the tatooed bombshell. She said "What about the other people he hurt along the way? Even though I don't expect to get an apology, at the very least, I was hoping for some sort of acknowledgement regarding the pain and embarrassment he caused myself and others."

Isn't this pathetic. She beds a married man and then complains that married man caused her pain and embarrassment. Must be nice to live in a world where a person does not have to accept responsibility for their own actions.
