East of the Arts District are a few grungy buildings. If you continue across the DART rail line, you may come to the old, vacant Dallas high school.

There is a huge area of grunge on the West side, in Dallas we call it Ft. Worth.

Yeah Houston gets Hurricanes that wash away the real grunge every 10 years or so.

In the white rock lake area there are some older tin horse barns and while it's not industrial grunge, there are some concrete spillways and such that could work really well for a non-green back ground setting, and later in the day with the tree cast shadows and deep shadows from the ground cuts, you can make some really nice light work for you in a place like that
