The Company I used to work for still has not picked up their equipment , has not returned my calls , I have called a LOT , when i gave my notice , I gave conditions for them to pick up ----They never did , Well its my turn not to return calls its been 8 weeks , I travel a lot , This division I used to work for They went out of business , Main company still there. I am talking lights Camera
Old Monitors Props Lots of Harness cables. And I told them . I have to be there when they pick stuff up . Because I have my studio stuff, And Current employers studio
Still no calls to me Just Frustrating that's all

If you really want action, just mention the storage fees that will accumulate if they don't respond in a reasonable time frame.

Log all your efforts to return the equipment. At some point, it would have to be considered abandoned if you can show your due diligence in returning it.

More than likely, they will not respond nor pick-up the equipment. If the division went out of business, the parent company probably wrote off the equipment as part of their loss, and in the grand scheme of things... it is a negligable amount to them given that retrieving, and auctioning the gear may cost them more than it is worth.

As Thomas mentioned, log all your contact attempts so you can show due diligence in your attempt to return the equipment. I would hang on to it for awhile (another few months), and then do whatever you like with it.

Just my thoughts...

Send an invoice for storage fees monthly to the billing department. You should get a response. If you don't, continue and add interest and penalties at your discretion.

Then send a letter saying you've sold the equipment to cover their bill...
