One in a thousand examples of how we don't learn from history; therefore, it's doomed to repeat itself.

It isn't really eerie, it is the msm msnbc leftist spin on things...

rachel mad"Cow" - leftist bigot, and a few other choice names...
msnbc - leftist media, network hates America, and a few other choice names.

Those types are all about bashing for all the wrong reasons.

Watch FOX..

Me thinks you crazy.... How did them "SPIN" up news from 1979? hahahah

I agree, the them <--- (MEDIA ALL) add fuel to the fire by making the comparison. But Chris is right, the same spills, the same time of year, 1979 - 2010 thats creepy

If watching Fox is going to make me this dim-witted I will have to switch to CNN or some other network.
Never read something so stupid, ever!

The quoted statement here is a perfect example of why political statements, beliefs, etc. are banned from TPF and as I see it, a good rule to have. I can only surmise the poster felt it was "bashing for the right reasons".

I should have worded my statement different.

The bashing was just insight into how I see 'other media outlets' spin stories to fit their needs for reporting at that time. Now how I feel about mad'cow', totally different story.

Sorry but no political objective was intended..

If you think Fox doesn't spin then, well.... you just go right ahead and keep watching because I'm not going to change your mind.

All news media spins. Always has. If you've found one that spins the same direction as you, bully for you, but they all.. every one of them.. have an agenda, a belief, a dogma that they are pushing with the way they present and what they present.

There is no such thing as unbiased reporting. Never has been. Anyone who tells you differently is (also) selling something.

Oh, an knock off the personal attacks.

Ha! We *are* doing things differently, this time! *This* time, we *aren't* stringing up oil containment booms across all of our coastline and launching oil skimmers all over the place!

I'm referring to the mile+ of boom that was still setting on the dock a week after the spill began, and the oil skimming ships that have been offered, but never put into service. I don't know what is being done to contain the oil, to keep it from shore, at this point.

Fox News is operated by a company that is looking for the most sensationalistic spectacle possible. They do what they do largely to keep a circus running.

Actually, TV News is the worst source of news, anyway. You should get your news from print sources, and as many diverse sources as possible. Don't just look for different news outlets; look for different news sources. Many news outlets use the same source story, that they then edit to fit their space requirements.
