Which makes me realize how much we take for granted our freedom. There's no way I'd be able to what those service men did over there.

THANK YOU!

DVD is nice, but Blu-ray is AWESOME! I have both sets, watched the DVDs several times, but the BDs are soooooo much better.

I'll have to buy a new TV before I get a Blu-Ray player and start replacing all my DVD's! My poor TV couldn't handle it. I bet it's awesome, tho, can't imagine the D-Day and Bastogne scenes in Blu-Ray!

I absolutely love Band of Brothers. I could watch it over and over again.

Too bad I still have a tube television that won't die, so no Blue-Ray for me...yet.

Actually needing a new TV is a misnomer. BD will look better on any TV, just to get the full effect you will need a nicer TV. I know several people with low def TVs, one with a 19" tube, and they all swear they can see the difference.

I watch it whenever I need to put my petty problems in perspective. Nothing like watching Garnier get his legs blown off in the Ardain forest to make my mortgage seem insignificant. Awesome American story, well told.

A 9mm would do the job, but then my wife would use it to put two in my arse.

Although the new plasmas are nice, I'm holding out for a Samsung UN55B8000

My friend hooked up his PS3 on my old-ish 36" Sony HDTV (Which "only" go's up to 1080i) and it looked amazing.
What channel was BoB playing on? I love that series. Saw it on the History Channel years ago and want to see it again.

Awesome series... I know in a different thred B.O.B. was compared to The Pacific. Most people liked B.O.B better, I know I was one of them. I think part of the reason is because B.O.B. was so much longer. Almost 12 hours of B.O.B. compared to 9 hours of The Pacific. That and we followed EZ Company throughout their series but wasn't the same with The Pacific. They kind of jumped around. I wish The Pacific was longer though. I really liked some of those characters. Not even 1 hour per episode just wasn't enough time.
