That's so true... mostly. I consider all the free/personal email services to be equal (hotmail, gmail, yahoo mail, etc.). Everything about the AOL deal is SOOOOO true.

This is so true. The only email I have that is not attached to my own domain is my .me account with Apple. I use my .me for personal correspondence only, so no harm no foulI guess.

We use gmail for our business over the @businessname.com. Our customers like that they can reach either of us on gchat. Just another level of customer service that we can provide and are happy to do so.

I still remember my first email account at aol, trucke4493. I was one of the first 50,000 people to sign up and they promised to never raise my rate above the $2.95 an hour rate. That's good since I was only running 300 baud modem and had dreams of upgrading to 1200 as soon as I could afford the $300 price tag for one.

I still have a yahoo account that I made in 1998, but it's mainly just for registering on internet forums and sites that tend to generate a lot of garbage mail. I also use a Hotmail account from around the same time that was opened specifically for use in signing up for anything where I expect to get spam.

My personal account/business account are @att.net accounts which happens to be my current provider. They use the yahoo servers, but you can actually check them with Outlook or use their web based browser service if you prefer.
