Looking for a fantastic guitar teacher - 06-03-2010, 03:05 AM

I am wanting to learn to play the guitar from a good and experienced teacher who wants to learn more about photography and/or Photoshop. I would like to get together and exchange our expertise a couple times a month for the next few months. I want to learn from a person, not a book, video, or online.

I am a true beginner about playing the guitar. I know nothing. I have played the piano is the distant past and know how to read basic music. I want to learn to play for my own benefit, simple chords of some of my favorite rock and roll songs, maybe some country tunes and a few Christmas Carols. I would like to find someone who is willing to commit to a set schedule for the next few months to see how it progresses. Then make a decision after a few months to see if you would like to continue.

I have been a professional photographer for 28 years. I have taught college classes on photography and seminars to professional photographers on; digital photography, building and managing a studio, how to improve your sales, improving your creativity and mastering the technical side of photography.

I live and work in Plano. But I am willing to extend my offer to anyone in the DFW area.

Let me know if you find someone. My daughter was taking from a really good teacher, but unfortunately he had to stop giving private lessons because of his "real job".

Yeah, there has got to be someone who is a great teacher of guitar who wants to take up photography, right?

I play guitar and I'm a teacher - I don't know that I fit your criteria as a whole, but in parts it looks great.

Hehe, I don't teach guitar (in fact I'd probably be horrible at it because I don't play in standard tunings) but I do play, and I teach AP Math.
