I just got the 3Gs on Saturday to get the unlimited data package, and I will be returning it for this new one in a week.

that's what a lot of people said about the first iPhone.

It's a HUGE selling point for AT&T, now it's thinner than any other smart phone on the market, and some of the new features are really making it an awesome device to have.

Since you're already on the unlimited data plan, there's really no compelling reason to get the new iPhone 4 right away unless there's a feature that you must have. Just let the crowds (and the prices) die down a bit and pick it up when you're ready.

I want the speed, and multitasking abilities for one... I was told that the multitasking feature wont work on the 3G, even with the new OS.

Looks like a great phone and they have kept the pricing much more reasonable than when they first came out.

This is true. The 3G doesn't have the memory required for m/t.

Now isn't there word that the iphone will be branching out to Verizon and Tmobile soon as well?

Would be nice ... since I have Tmobile and a Broken iPhone ...

I've heard this rumor as well, but given Apple's exclusive agreement with AT&T until 2012 I believe it is, it's unlikely that Verizon or T-Mobile will see the iPhone. Jobs didn't even mention it today in fact as far as I know.

I don't see the big deal in the iPhones besides the "pretty boy" status. AT&T is a joke and there are plenty of phone out there that compete with the iPhone. Heck I have had my Palm Pre for a year and it has always done the multitasking.
