Amazing Flood pics from New Braunfels - 06-10-2010, 07:34 PM

I hope I'm not breaking any rules here posting this link, but for those familiar with the surroundings of New Braunfels these are some pictures from the floods over the last couple of days. Massive damage to places along the Guadalupe river.

Their slideshow sucks. Refreshes the whole page for each photo? lol

Anyways....some good ones over on mysa.com too....school buses (yes plural) wrapped around trees.

We used to go to Bubba's Big Deck every so often. I hope they decide to rebuild but sure that't the last thing on their minds right now.

Really devastating as the tubing seasons for the last few years have been terrible and this summer was looking to really be good for them, now this hits.

It amazes me that people wait for the authorities to provide them with personalized warnings - if you live by the river you get no help as far as I am concerned. I think zoning needs to stop green zone infringement which will result in less damage that we all pay for in one way or another - and people get out of the habit of living in harms way because it is "so beautiful" - it's God's country. The few cost us so much.
