What Are You Packing For the World Cup?

A lot of 400mm f2.8's! Wonder how much trouble they have getting the net set ups? You couldn't do those net shots very often during film days or you were pretty much limited to 36 shots per half (if you could get access to reload).

Yeah, a 400 2.8 can work great for soccer/futball... I used to have access to that lens when freelancers could still pull gear from the News' pool. I would use it for soccer games with great effect. If you shoot sports and events, it is a great lens to own. I just can't justify the $5k for a good used one myself, and don't care to rent one unless I HAVE to.

I guess you read yesterday where a photographer was robbed in his hotel room of $35K worth of gear, there were two other reporters robbed also in other rooms.
