iPhone iOS 4.0 - 06-18-2010, 06:57 AM

Anyone else try it out yet? I've only got it on a 3G, so don't have all of the features, but it's really nice. definitely recommend the download next week.

iHaters - go whine elsewhere please.

  • Multitasking (sort of) - not able to try it on the 3, but have seen it on others. Works great.
  • Folders - YES! 2100+ apps? That's nuts.
  • Email Threading - great
  • 5X zoom - useless
  • Background wallpaper - cool I guess
  • iBooks - nice app, but can't get on 3G
  • Gift Apps - nice idea

I loaded iOS 4 for development, operation wise, it's ok except iPod been crashing. The 3G version is slow as hell, multitasking would be a suicide. Other than Unified mail, this model doesn't get much out of iOS4.

True, the 3G model can't use much of this update. Oh well, it's for sale anyway, waiting on the new one next week.

While my iTunes updated this week I do not see that iOS4 is available.
Or are you guys loading a development version?

Yes, it''s the GM release for developers - same version as final. iOS 4 should show up in iTunes on Monday.
