I'd like to see that model release that lets you use the pictures in any way. That covers a lot of grounds doesn't it?

Not really. It's pretty common when you're paying for a workshop. Although it's usually the higher priced sessions. Most of the inexpensive events limit the use to portfolio.

As usual, let the buyer beware on Craig's list. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is...

Truth be told I've only gone to the cheapie workshops and as you mentioned the model release was for portfolio use only. So you're telling me that at expensive workshops people can even sell the pictures of the models for commercial use? (Again, assuming this guy is legit)

When I was holding workshops, the only limitation was no porn or other uses that would be outside of the limits of a US edition of Playboy magazine. That was the language in the release. I believe Rolando Gomez has similar wording in his releases (that is if you pay each model $50 for her signature).

It may depend upon the workshop how limiting the release is. I wish with RG it was only $50. If you want a full release with professional models expect to pay more. MM models will give you a full release for print/cd.

I have paid $50 to each model at a RG workshop for a full release. That was in addition to the workshop fee and it is to each model. With three or four models at a typical glamour/nude event, that was more than I paid to him for the workshop. Granted this was in 2005, so things may have changed.
