Next time tell them your the dugout mom, or the manager, or the assistant manager, whatever.

You said you had the proper background check, that should have been the only issue.

The league, if thats the association your league belongs to, thought parent.

Thats the one thing they don't want, a bunch of parents trying to get on the field and shoot.

That is why I always shot every kid every game. If you shoot for them and give them the pics for free. They usually get something better than they can do and will not complain.

Well during all stars depending on the size of your roster you can only have two adults. We are carrying 11 on the roster so only two coaches/assistants we are having to use a player as a 1st base coach.

I have been on the field at many different levels of play . . . from tee ball to select league and I have never had any problem after talking to the umpire for their peremission. I have been directed to whichever ump was in charge of the game because the head ump IS in charge. Sounds like you just had a run in with someone who wants to be HMFIC and be in charge of something.

Well just an update..I was asked to leave a field again on Saturday. Different field ( my son's home field) Been on the field with this ump for years and he explained that there were some issues earlier this year somewhere and our District director had informed them that all umps/coaches/board members enforce the rules or else (else what I dont' know)...SO I guess I will have to get creative for these next two games and shoot through/over/around the fences we have 6 and 8 ft fences at our park which make the angles not real appealing.

At least this guy was courteous enough to come talk to me in person unlike the board guy I mentioned in the OP
