Dallas has had rain for the last 3 out of 5 days-we are talking anywhere from 1/2 an inch up with each downpoor and there have been several downpoors each day! One in fact just went over! It's JULY NOT MAY! |

If you grew up in Texas in the 50's early 60's you would understand that a green lawn doesn't exist after July 4th unless it is around a play pool that the kids had out in the yard. What is this obsession with a green lawn all year long? I see it as a huge waste of water! Kids don't "play" outside anymore-at least not like they used to- so what is the real need for a bright green lawn? Folks this ain't Michigan-it's TEXAS! |
