ROFL! I don't care who you are... that's funny. Sucks for him and the B&G... but it's hilarious nonetheless.

Funny. In my experience, most churches are cool with flash once the ceremony is over.

I think film would have survived just as well, heck, some people presoak their film before developing anyway (although getting it on the reel might be a tad more difficult).

Hopefully he had backups in his bag somewhere or at least a second shooter with some bodies. But by the looks of his clothes, I'm not sure how well he was able to carry on the rest of the night :/
Feel sorry for him. He shouldda taken note of his surroundings beforehand.

From personal experience, his cameras should be ok -- the lights were still on writing to the card when they were pulled from the water. I am not saying that this is prefered way of cleaning the sensor or anything, but a quick dip does not automatically kill the camera.

Even a non-weather sealed 20d can survive underwater for a few seconds without being completely flooded with water.

I can't speak for how well his flashes would have worked immediately following, but they should be ok as well. At least it is not salt water.

Nevermind -- I'll take care of it myself!
