I just wanted to say thanks to all who post in the lens sample galleries. Two years ago I had to shoot a wedding for my nephew. Even though I am not a wedding photographer, they absolutely did not have the money nor did their parents to hire one. I had enough equipment to do an admirable job but lacked a wide angle lens for group shots. So I purchased the Tokina 12-24 f4 AT-X Pro. After the wedding, I put the lens on a shelf and went back to my sports lenses.
My wife and I have recently retired and one of our first target areas is Big Bend. So I began to wonder if this lens would do for those landscape shots. I read some online reviews but by far the best working knowledge of this lens is from the photos posted by members of TPF.
Thanks again to all and please keep adding to the data base. They really are a helpful aid when someone wonders "What about this lens?". |
