There are many in Las Colinas canals area but not really in those price ranges. You might be able to find a very small one for $900.

google "south on Lamar", I think that it was where I saw it, or just go over to the building, its the old Sears tower next to a couple of nightclubs, its just south of 30 and you can see great skyline and they have rooftop pool, prices go up as the floors go higher but its prices are really reasonable. We were looking there when we thought of moving to Dallas last yr.

A lot of photogs and artists are in the Southside on Lamar building. I know they have a few really tiny spaces, but I didn't think they were that cheap?!?

If you hook up with an apartment locating service, they should be able to help you out.

Probably wouldn't find a decent sized loft in Deep Ellum for under $800 plus utilities, one that is large enough to have a studio in and live in.
This Downtown Dallas and Deep Ellum Lofts for Rent - The Gibson Company is an excellent place to start. Since Collections is the owner! BTW he is very very good, have seen some of his large format landscapes on display at the Carter. (he is around 70 years old now).
