There are a few putzes on this forum, ie dolts, who think that picking up a camera and shooting any event makes them a "professional" photographer but every time you turn around they post some inane question on here on how to charge for something or what should I do if this happens (usually after the fact) and they won't take 10 minutes to do a simple search here to see if the ?? has been asked 20 times before. Just venting a bit but it just throws up a bunch of trash on here that has been beaten to death already!

If you had done a search before posting this, you'd see that this rant shows up once every month or two.

Yes you're right, but most of us still try to be patient and nice to these putzes. So the next time I ask a putzy question without fully doing my homework please be gentle.

I don't care if the question has been asked 10 times or 500 times, if anyone is caught giving members or guests a hard time the consequences will not be nice. We welcome all sorts of questions no matter what! That is what separates us from many other forums.

If you feel responding to a question that's been asked many times is a waste of your time, then simply go away. It's that easy.

Somehow I don't think this is going the way you thought it would...

Yep, you are correct...and there are a few photographers on here who think that because they can make a buck with a camera, that makes them a "professional."

So you are saying you never asked a question that was already answered somewhere? I understand your frustration but remember, you were a rookie at one time too...and being a "professional" is about more than just being able to take a good picture.

As a fairly new member here I've found most everyone to be very polite and helpful. I spent several years on another board as a BOD and we'd get the same complaint come up from time to time. Answer is always the same as Abel,s and Sonny's. If you are tired of it move on to the next thread. I'm fairly new to getting into the more serious side of this hobby after being in it off and on since I got my first Yashika 35mm back in the mid 80's while in high school. Would I like to take it to the next level and be my own boss, by all means. I apoligize if questions are asked that I don't find a satisfactory answer when searching.
I can also understand getting fed up with some of the questions that get asked over and over by the same uesr that just isn't getting it. Possibly just a very hands on person in the way they go about learning. We all start somewhere and I prefer a nice group of people who are willing to take the effort to help our regardless how many timses the question has been answered.
Me myself have been working as an Oracle software deveolper, or DBA for the last 12 years and would just like to be my own boss one day. The more knowledge I can soak up here along with my business management courses will hopefully help out.

A special thanks to those who are willing to give newer people with inquisitive minds answers.

This seems to be directed at one person in particular. Why not PM them if it is something that bothers you so much?

Teach them how to fish (or use the Ignore function).
