I also found an app for printing at Target. Blocked it also.

So let me get this straight, I can walk into a WM with my SD card with my images and WM won't print them unless they have proof that they are mine, but I can send them other's FB galleries and they'll print them no questions asked?

Who's posting wedding albums on FB (and non-watermarked)? What kind of print can you expect anyway at that resolution?

Thanks for the heads-up.

I get that it shouldn't be so easy to print someone else's photos, but, what's to prevent a FB friend (or anyone you allow to view your images) from simply saving the image to a thumb drive and going to Walmart, CVS, Target etc. and printing them? Same thing with Flickr, photobucket, etc. Just thinking out loud.

I tested this blocking and all it really does is block your access, your friends can still print your albums.

What good does it do to block them if others can still print? It just blocks your access right? Would resizing images help? If its not big enough then it cannot be printed right?

This whole blocking thing is pointless.

We have to accept the fact that anything that is browse-able over the net can be printed, no amount of blocking works.

With that said, Facebook and all other social networking sites is the future. Because through them we have the potential to get good verifiable leads. A simple request of tagging us on our pictures goes along way than being draconian about usage and what not.

If you block them it blocks them from being able to access YOUR albums.

This is what I was talking about. So it will still allow your friends to print from your albums.

Yes, I had a friend block it on her facebook and I was still able to access her albums and add them to the cart to be printed. I went as far as it asking if it was okay to upload and I canceled at that point. However today, I tried it again and her name is not listed under the friends whose albums I can access so I guess they fixed it. Blocking it should work now.

Wh00t ty ty ty!

Though I have no photos worth printing I did enjoy reading the cry's of helpless souls who believe that they have every right to print photos from others (Weddings anyone?) simply because these apps allow them too.
