I'm wondering as a photographer if it is tactful to give a free photo as a gift? pros, they get a free photo, cons, they may think I'm trying to get them to buy more. It is an acquaintance that has purchased photos from me before. I'm not close friends, never do anything with them socially, but know them from the community. I have another one coming soon, so I am curious to see if anyone else does this.

I don't see a problem with it, but then again what does a guy know about these things.

I have mixed feelings. How about a session put inside a really cool frame. They get the gift of a frame and a session. You know you will sell more!

I've done a free session for people and they all loved it! I do purchase something off the registry and include a gift certificate for a free session with the card.

I'd give them product, but not a free session. The session is less appreciated, and for me, it cost more. Bad combo. Ive noticed that, in general, that its not too common either. Otherwise Id buddy up to a dentist, and have a lot more birthday's this year. ;o)

.....LOL! that was so tacky, but i had to say it. hee hee.
