I liked it, but I could have used less slow-motion-falling-van scenes.

Everything is better in slow-mo, just ask Dave Chappelle.

Loved it. Definitely the best movie so far this year. I plan to buy the blu-ray when it comes out. I can see this movie having quite a bit of replay value.

Fantastic. Love it. Want/need to go see it again.

REALLY want to know how they did a lot of the falling/weightlessness scenes and some of the other effects.

I saw it on normal screen, some people I know love the 3D version, what do you guys think? I'm thinking about going to see it again in 3D.

I personally am not a fan of the 3D movies, but it's no biggie because the theater I go to shows the non-3D version too.

Okay I laughed out loud!

I saw the movie, lots of good discussion on many forums about the explanations.

Saw it last night - very reminiscent of his other film, Memento.

It was good, lots of goofs and illogicies (is that a word, maybe I invented it). I realize that much of it was a "Dream" (or Dream^2), but they fell outside their own set-up logic much of the time.

Thought the ending was trite though, and cliche'.

How it works: There is a dreamer and then the team enters his mind, but they each have their own role. Architect- Designs the places that they go to inside of the dream and makes it out to be like a maze. Thief- He can deguise himself as other people that are inside of the dreamer's subconscious mind And I wasn't sure what you called Arthur's or Cobb's roles. Anyway, in actual dreams you dream about people that you have soon before because your brain can't make up people. In the movie, it had the same idea and all the people in the dream were from the dreamer's subconscious. When the people went into the dreamer's dream, they had to make sure that they didn't realize it was a dream. If they realized it was a dream then their subconscious mind would realize that something was wrong. If that happened then the people inside the dream would attack the people that threatened the dreamer because they are apart of the dreamer's subconscious and the subconscious part of the brain is trying to protect the person. The dreamer could figure out it was a dream if they were told it was one or if their dream became ridiculously impossible or strange to their perception of the real world. Totems are objects that they create so they know that they are in reality. They have a special characteristic about them that does/ doesn't happen in the real world and the dream world. Ex) Cobb's dradle thing wouldn't stop spinning if he was in the dream world but would topple over in the real world. If you die you wake up.
