I lost my job of 7 years last week. We have been paying extra on our home for a couple of years to try to pay it off sooner, so we don't have much in savings at all.

In addition to photography, I've provided private marketing/adversiting/communications creative services for over 20 years and I'm trying to ramp up that business. If you or your company are in the market for a new business identity, print or online advertising, new or updated website, sales collateral materials, or any other creative services, please keep me in mind. You can see some of my work online here: www.KevinLynam.com.

Not trying to go "religious" here - so please don't take offense at this post - but for the faithful members on the forum, I would really appreciate your prayers. Of course I will gladly lift up any members who could also use a little divine intervention in their lives. Just PM me anytime.

Blessings...

Sorry to hear about the job situation Kevin. I lost mine as an executive with Starbucks 2 years, and 12 days ago via layoff phone call. I switched from part time, to full time with the photography, but it sure was a change of living for my wife and kids... though I do not miss the corporate meetings, conference calls, and most of all... heavy travel, it is still an adjustment.

Good luck to you.

I think we have to have a Laid off living meetup.

I was laid off on the first, the owner drove our the company into the ground.

Sorry to hear y'all have lost your jobs and going religious on you we will add you to our prayer list.

I know what it's like and after the second time getting layed off, days short of being 5 years fully vested, I decided to go out on my own. That was 17 years ago and I never look back.

It's tough sometimes to go on your own but It's well worth it in my opinion.
