shooting 11x14" film? - 08-21-2010, 01:06 PM

Does anyone here on the board personally shoot 11x14" film? Or, do you know of someone who rents out an 11x14" camera with normal lens (say, around 450-480mm) and film holders?

Try looking here... there are several LFers in the Dallas area.

You will never want to shoot smaller, I have owned and used 4x5, 5x7, 8x10 and 11x14 cameras and when you view the image on 8x10 or larger you will be in love with large format. The 8x10 and 11x14 contact sheets are the most beautiful grainless images you will ever view.

Yeah, I've been a member over there for ten years now. I was just looking over here, hoping to find someone shooting big that wasn't already on the LF forum... I have had a 4x5 since '99 or so, and am trying to get an 11x14 up and running. I can't wait!!!

I know some 8x10 folks in the DFW area but not 11x14. Mike Castles has a Richard Ritter 8x10 with an additional 7x11 back. If you ever handle the R.R. 8x10 you will be spoiled. Eugene Singer has (or had) Canham 8x10 & 5x7 cameras. That's about all I know.
Good luck!

Yeah, I actually talked with Mr. Ritter and he has some brand new 11x14" parts available, but I'm looking for some old stuff that might need refurbishing.
